The Spring Members’ Show displays
the strength, vitality, creativity, and wealth of talent found within
Muskoka Arts & Crafts.
The diverse and outstanding work by our members creates an exciting three day
exhibition. Over one hundred members have their work in the show.
The Spring Members' Show opens with an awards presentation and reception on
Friday beginning at 7pm.
Cash awards for the Ruth Upjohn Memorial Award for Best in Show,
the Patricia M. Boyer Award for Best 2D, the Jeanne Webb Wasylkwi
Award for Best 3D and the Ontario Crafts Council Design Award and
many Awards of Excellence are presented.
After the awards presentation, Moonglow takes the stage to provide an evening of entertaining music as the artists and the public mingle to share ideas about the work on hand as well as creativity in general.
While visiting the show, you can cast your vote for the Peoples' Choice Award.
With 400 members working at a wide variety of media at all levels of development, Muskoka Arts &
Crafts is a dynamic organization.
Throughout Saturday, and
Sunday, our members are at the show offering demonstrations of
their techniques and artistry. In addition to the work on display, these demonstrations are and inspiring and
educational glimpse into the creative world.
The show is a labour of love by our members who volunteer their time, energy, expertise, and enthusiasm to
set up and manage this gala exhibition.
During the show, our members are present to welcome you to the show, answer your questions, and help should you decide to purchase one of the pieces of art.
