Teresa McLaughlin comes by her artistic background honestly. She is the child of third generation artists. From painting to music, a well rounded art education was always encouraged in the McLaughlin household.

Teresa pursued a secondary education with a scholarship to C.W. Jeffries art school in North York during the eighties and then returned home to Muskoka to raise a family.
Taking a job as a teaching assistant at the local Muskoka Falls Public School afforded Teresa two benefits: to be near her three children and to run the art program for grades one through eight. Ten years at Muskoka Falls Public School led to a managerial position at a local art gallery. While under Teresas' management the gallery received consecutive prestigious awards. It was at the later where she honed her skills at producing art exhibitions and this prompted her to open her own gallery.
