Gallery owners Hap Wilson and Ingrid Zschogner are both fine artists and have been living in Muskoka for six years. 

Ingrid Zschogner creates commissioned portraits in oil and pencil, architectural carvings, outdoor sculptures, and custom carved 3-D Signs. Hap Wilson creates pen and ink paintings, watercolor paintings, unique carved walking sticks and incredible Muskoka Photography. 

They both offer fine art pencil, oil and photography workshops at the gallery and also at their private ECO –CABIN oasis located in Temagami, Ontario. The gallery also showcases Ontario and local jewelers such as Miranda Britton, potter Jodie Hames and pencil crayon artist Von Peterson.

Art in the Wilderness

Haps ECO LODGE is one of the most unique retreats in Canada! Situated deep within the Lady Evelyn Smoothwater Wilderness Park  perched above  a   dramatic 30 foot waterfall , the scenery is nothing short of breath taking. There is a short canoe trek downriver, to Sunrise Eco-Lodge where we will spend 4 days in paradise sketching and painting (with Ingrid Zschogner or doing photography instruction with  Hap Wilson) in the heart of Temagami’s  250 + year old growth pine forests, five nearby waterfalls, aboriginal spiritual sites, abundant wildlife . This tranquil setting inspires and calms, while offering many challenging adventure opportunities.

Hap Wilson has been a Canadian canoe guide and author for 30 years. He is certified ORCA 111, holds wilderness first responder training. He co-founded  the environmental group Earth Roots with the late Bob Hunter (co-founder of Green Peace).

Ingrid Zschogner has been  a professional portrait artist for 15 years, she is a member of Canadian institute of portrait artists, artist for conservation and has received many awards and recognition including: Art work featured on a Canada post stamp, ducks unlimited recognition, and many corporate awards. She holds wilderness first responder training and her first aid training is supported via a medical director with satellite phone.

Artist workshop with portrait and wildlife artist Ingrid Zschogner. Sketching often assists in development of life drawing and paintings. This workshop will be of interest whether you wish to sketch for fun or as preliminary studies for future projects. You will learn about different dry pigment drawing tools and various surfaces and their appropriate uses. Line and shading will be the principle techniques studied while observing a number of different subjects. Some work will be done in the studio, and some outdoors - please bring appropriate clothing, footwear and sun gear. This workshop is suitable for all skill levels

Muskoka's First Mural Mosaic
November 22-23, 2008

Rosseau, Ontario

Hundreds of Muskoka landscape and Musoka wildlife themed paintings  are harmonized into one outdoor 10 ft x 10 ft  masterpiece. Participate  with painting Rosseau’s first outdoor mural. A fundraiser event for the Aspdin Wildlife Sanctuary will be put in place upon completion in the Spring of 2009. Paint and brushes not included.
