	Newell, Mary-Ruth - The Village Potter Mary Ruth Newell creates a complete line of functional stoneware. Each pot is made by hand and fired in a wood-fuelled kiln. The atmosphere within the kiln creates an effect on the pots called flashing or toasting which in appearance resembles sprinkled cinnamon.
