Michelle Basic Hendry is a multiple award winning artist. For her, it is light and shadow in the forest and wild places that nourish mystery and spirit. No matter what the season, the landscape of Muskoka is a mystical place, whispering stories of flux and mutability, never ceasing as a source of inspiration for her work.

Michelle has won awards for her work, including an Award of Merit from Muskoka Arts and Crafts in 2002 for stained glass; and in 2005, Michelle won MAC awards for "Best Use of Colour" and "Best in Show" for her acrylic painting "Trailside - Hardy Lake Park". She has work in galleries and private collections in Ontario and the UK. Her work can be seen at the Silver Bridge Gallery Gallery in Bracebridge or at her studio by appointment.
