Catch the Wind
dyptych, 3' x 8', oil painting

Paul has gained 25 years of design and branding experience since graduating with honors in Communication & Design at the Ontario College of Art in 1981. Although he has come a long way from his early days of corporate illustration and design, he attributes that time period as providing the necessary building blocks for a life as a painter.

Armed with a good foundation in marketing, advertising and design, Paul started his first design company in 1987 which grew to an eight person Brand Strategy firm. Since that time his firm has won many awards working with blue chip companies such as Royal Bank, Bombardier and Honda to name a few. But it is the smaller upstart companies that Paul has enjoyed working with most, as they provide the best opportunity to make a positive difference. Though, regardless of the project or company size, Paul never stopped looking for illustrative or sculptural opportunities to allow his creative spirit to flourish. As a result, a number of Paul’s illustrations are part of major corporate art collections such as the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Manual Life Insurance, Ketchum International and MDS to name a few.

After 25 years of trying to make a difference in the corporate sector, Paul has made a conscious choice to pursue a life that will directly enrich peoples lives through the process of painting and sculpting.
