Amanda Greavette is a young artist who has lived in Muskoka since 1997. She has participated in local training and exercises, such as open life drawing and watercolour classes. With the personal encouragement of her mother, high school teacher and her husband, she recently completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Ontario College of Art and Design in downtown Toronto.

Amanda’s work is primarily based on the figurative, with an effort to focus on contemporary application. She has accepted commissions and done portraits, and loves both large scale drawing and painting in all mediums. Her focus since graduating school has been to set up her studio in her new straw-bale home and begin a career as a painter.
