Born in Toronto in the 50s, I attended the universities of Ottawa, Toronto and Western, never taking fine arts courses. I have always been a creative person. My passion was in fabrics and textiles: designing and sewing clothes and making home decorations. I eventually branched out into quilting after our children were born. First I made small wall quilts which were easy to take to the arenas and pools. Then I started to make larger quilts. The vast array of colours, textures and designs really appealed to my love of fabrics.

Five years ago, I retired from my career as a high school teacher and decided to combine my love for textiles with my passion for antique glass. I started to take stained glass classes and the rest is history.

My work in stained glass covers the spectrum of leaded glass pieces, contemporary foiled pieces and incorporated in some of my pieces antique glass. My inspirational ideas come from the antique glass and from the surrounding Muskoka scenery.
