In 1971, Lyle McIntyre and his wife Janice began their photographic careers in
Muskoka. Since then Lyle has received many prestigious awards including the Canadian
Professional Photographer of the year for Canada, two Craftsman and two Masters
degrees in Canada and the United States as well as two Hasselblad awards.
His work has
been displayed in the Kodak pavilion at the Epcot Center in Orlando, Florida, and
his works have also been published in the internationally recognized Swedish
Forum as well as The Professional Photographer and The Canadian Professional
Photographer.
Lyle's work is concentrated around the lakes in the
cottage country area of Muskoka and Georgian Bay. During the summer months, his clientele
is served with on-location family and child portraits. Through the years, his casual
outdoor style has been sought after by many and can be found complementing homes
and cottages throughout Canada as well as the United States. His large colour
landscape images also adorn boardrooms and offices throughout Ontario and many
private collections. In 1994, Boston Mills Press published Lyle's first book, Silver and Stone, a collection of large format fine art black and white
photographs.
