| As a
young child living in a small, noisy house in London,
England, I always was drawn to places portrayed as wild,
remote and silent: The Forest Rangers, Skippy’s
outback and summer refuges in the Swiss Alps.
My ongoing
interests in philosophy and spirituality have reflected
themselves in my more recent photography.
Examining
close-ups of an image and thus altering familiar
proportions and context may reveal detail and aspects
hidden or overlooked by more conventional regard.
Conversely,
digitally exploring the image by blurring or rephrasing
light and detail may evoke and reveal a more intuitive
experience of the subject.
My images
reflect a curiosity and fascination with both the
outside world and the world within. |
