The Life Drawing Open Studio is an open studio for professional and emerging artists, students, and anyone interested in
drawing the human form. The Life Drawing Open Studio is composed of a friendly, welcoming, and very dedicated group of creative
people including
professional and emerging artists, students enhancing their portfolios, and others interested in developing their abilities to see.
People work independently and at their own level of experience. While no formal instruction is provided, support and
encouragement is given. The open studio format is designed to work progressively from gestures through to longer
poses. A variety of male and female models with different body shapes and ages are booked for the Open Studio.
The Life Drawing Open Studio shows its work with the Portrait Class in an annual exhibition at the Chapel Gallery in the
Spring.
$55 + HST for the six week session
or $15 + HST per evening.
Participants bring their own drawing
materials.

Portrait Open Studio meets at the Chapel Gallery every Thursday evening at
7pm. A model is available and
class
members bring their own drawing materials. No instruction is provided but support and fellowship is available.
The Portrait Class shows its work with the Life Drawing Open Studio in an annual exhibition at the Chapel Gallery in the
Spring.
The yearly registration fee is
$10 for members of Muskoka Arts & Crafts and $12 for non-members.
Each session costs $6.
Participants bring their own drawing
materials.
